Install on Ubuntu Touch
This is a portable arm64 build, not an OpenStore click package. Do not tap the extracted folder in File Manager and choose App Store — install will fail with “not a valid click package”.
- Download the arm64 tar.gz (phones / UT devices).
- Extract the app folder to a permanent location (e.g.
~/apps/MessageMe). - In Terminal:
cdinto that folder then./install-launcher.sh(finishes on its own — close Terminal after; the icon stays). - Open the app drawer and pull down to refresh, then tap the icon.
- After a factory reset, run
./install-launcher.shagain. - Prefer launching from the drawer so the on-screen keyboard (Maliit) works reliably.
- In-app updates use the bundled updater (Settings → App updates).
